Q:
What are the advantages of using games instead of videos or other media?
A:
Please click on the “Games and Simulation” link on our home page
for a full discussion.
Q:
Are the games research based?
A:
Yes, the learning design of all games are based on the
latest research findings. Many of
the facilitator booklets have references at the end. Each game focuses on and implements a
specific area of research findings.
For example, the new FOCUS™
game is based on the latest research on behavior modification, while the Bridge over Worried Waters™ game
is based on research finding on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) as it
applies to anxiety.
Q:
How can I give feedback and make suggestions?
All
customers are encouraged to give feedback using the form that comes with the
game or by downloading the form from the “feedback form” link on
our home page. Each month a
feedback form is drawn at random, and the winner receives a free game of
his/her choice. You can mail, fax,
or email the form.
Q:
Are the games only for school counselors, psychologists, and other
professionals, or can they be used at home?
A:
All the games can be used at home to help kids with friendship problems, anger
control, ADD or other issues. If
your child has serious problems and is being treated by a professional, we
recommend consulting the professional before adding a game to the mix of
therapy.
